Once I discovered the Ramones in HS I told myself, "I have to see these guys before Joey dies."

I did. They headlined a club in Baltimore in the early 90s. Checked it off the list.

Oddly enough, I (speaking of livethursday posts) saw Sugar at the same club a few years later. Only time I saw them.

Yeah. Pretty much my favorite band these days. Have you seen their Austin City Limits Festival performance?

They also just did the TV show but I can't find that online.

They have to be one of the most consistent live bands of all time. Always intense. Never clammed their tunes. Always looked the same. Even with shitty PA they were still loud as God. Truly one of the greatest of all time.

Social D opened up for the Ramones that night. They sounded great too. That was a good room.

Sad that DeeDee wasn't in the band at the time.
